Dancing is wonderful training for girls, it's the first way you learn to guess what a man is going to do before he does it. ~Christopher Morley, Kitty Foyle
Dancing is 100% body language - the ultimate communication skill. As with any language you need the three 'P's - patience, persistence and practice - to do it well. It does wonders for the mind, the body, the soul and the social life.
The U.Vic Dance Club 30th Anniversary Ball was the liveliest and most energetic dance party of the year - so energetic that one of you danced right out of your shoes and left them behind. Let me know if you want them back.
This Friday Sam Jackson will be teaching Intermediate West Coast Swing in the workshop at Swing City at 8pm. A good understanding of the basics in this dance is essential to take the workshop. DJ Johnny deP has some entertaining Swing music (with some Latin and a dash of Ballroom) to keep you dancing from 9 to 11pm.
