Dances, Classes & Funnies: Oct 14-18
The dance is over, the applause subsided, but the joy and feeling will stay with you forever. - W.M. Tory
I have been volunteering as a scrutineer at various advance polling stations this weekend and have not seen many dancers voting so far. I know there is no “Dance Party” to get you all enthused but I encourage you to get out and vote just the same. Vote for the candidate or party that offers the best platform you can dance on. Polling stations have been busy from noon to 4pm in general but much slower after that - they will be much slower today and tomorrow so the timing is right to dance in and make your mark.
The workshop this Friday at 8pm at Swing City is Hustle – a chance to learn the fun and entertaining partner dance and the line dance as well – see Friday for more details.
Tickets are now on sale for the Club Revue Ballroom dance I will host on Oct 24th. See more info under advance tickets.
New Classes commence next week. See "Lessons" for more info.

What’s in a name - some people name their boats with a little wit. Here are a few classic boat names:
Ship for Brains,
Seas the Day,
Campbell’s Condensed Sloop,
Unsinkable II (one of my favourites),
Wood Too (and another wood boat next to it) Wood Not,
She Got the House,
Cirrhosis of the River,
