Dances & Funnies: April 18-23
Dance like no one is going to put it on Youtube...
It is Social Dance Month at Swing City - Add a little Salsa to your dance menu this Friday: Salsa workshop at 8pm with a Latin, Ballroom and Swing dance following from 9 to 11pm at Swing City. See more information below.
New Classes for April are listed on the lessons page and start this week. If you want to learn the most romantic dance on the planet then sign up for Beginner Night Club Waltz (for dancing to love songs/ballads) starting this Friday. This is ideal for the first song for anyone getting married, if you attend weddings or if you go out social dancing.
Only 4 Tickets left for our Semi-Formal Spring Soiree Ballroom Dance on Saturday, April 29th. If you have reserved tickets then they are set aside for you.
The NBDS has given me an extension on selling tickets for the Island Fantasy Ball scheduled for May 5th and 6th. Save money and sit with others from Victoria - see more information under Advance Tickets below.
Several members of the dance community are rarely seen on the dance floor - dancing is great for your mind, body and soul and it reduces the risk of dementia by 75% (but only if you dance frequently). For our peace of mind and yours we hope to see you on the dance floor on a more regular basis.

Life Lessons from the Easter Bunny:
Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
Walk softly and carry a big carrot.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
There's no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention.
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Keep your paws off other people's jellybeans.
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket.
An Easter bonnet can tame even the wildest hare.
To show your true colours you have to come out of your shell.
