The one thing that can solve most of our problems is dancing. - James Brown

Solve most of your problems this weekend with a visit to Swing City on Friday. I will teach the most romantic dance on the planet giving you the chance to put everything in perspective so solutions come much easier. The workshop at 8pm is Night Club Waltz (also called slow dancing) - a great way to dance to the ballads at any weddings you might be attending soon. I will then play a fun mix of Ballroom, Latin and Swing music at the dance from 9 to 11pm.

Celebrate National Dance Week (April 24-May 3) at my 30th Anniversary Social Dance featuring the music of Ron King on Saturday, April 30th at the Edelweiss Club. I will teach Cha Cha in the workshop to start the evening and play a fun mix of music in the breaks. Reserve your tickets with me at

Totally New and Freshly Picked Dance Classes for April and May are listed on the Lessons Page. These classes have been specifically designed to provide you with many hours of fun on the dance floor. Beginner West Coast Swing starts this Friday.

My 30th Anniversary Big Band Formal Masquerade Ball will held on Saturday, May 28th. Ticket information will be available soon - check your newsletter weekly to ensure that you get all of the details.

Honest Brand Slogans and Flying Aromatically:

Hallmark: “When you care enough to give a card mass-produced by a corporation.”

Ritz crackers: “Tiny, edible plates.”

CliffsNotes: “They’re still going to know you didn’t read the book.”

Gillette: “We’re just going to keep adding blades.”

Delta Airlines is infusing its cabins with a lavender-and-chamomile scent called Calm. The Week asked its readers to come up with a better name to match “the ambience of the packed economy cabin.” These are the most flight worthy, aromatic (or could that be aero, air-o or err-o-matic) responses:

“Eau the Humanity” —Serena Meyer

“Giorgio’s Arm-on-me” —Wade Etheredge

“Chanel No. 5 Inches of Legroom” —Austin King

“Claustrophobique” —Cynthia Pocali

“Mist Connection” —Cary Berkowitz

“The 99 Per-scent” —Julia Flagg
