There are short-cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them. ~Vicki Baum

Dancing to a Big Band in Formal Attire is a celebration of happiness - Fun in all its Finery. Some of you will want to cut a rug at my 30th Anniversary Big Band Formal Ball this Saturday but you won't need to since we will be dancing on hardwood. I will let you know about other short-cuts to happiness on fine dance floors in the coming weeks.

I will teach East Coast Swing in the workshop on Good Friday at Swing City at 8pm - a Swing, Ballroom and Latin dance follows from 9 to 11pm. Come out and give your feet a happy start to the long weekend.

New classes for March and April are listed on the Lessons page.  They start next week - these are incredibly fun short-cuts to happiness on the dance floor - register soon, register often - there can never be too much happiness.

Can you billet dancers from up island who may be coming to Victoria for my 30th Anniversary Ball or for the Pacifica Ball? Make new dance friends and then have a place to stay if you go up to the Island Fantasy Ball or various NBDS summer dance camps. Email me to let me know if you have room in your house for more dancers -

The second of the Northern Europe Dance Cruises is SOLD OUT!! There is still a little time left to book for the first Northern Europe Dance Cruise. Cabins on my 2017 Caribbean Dance Cruise are filling up quickly - book soon if you want a great price on a dance cruise before the cabins are gone. Email me at for more information.
