Oh what a feeling when you’re dancing on the ceiling – Lionel Richie

The feeling you have when you are dancing on the ceiling is similar to when you dance West Coast Swing. Try both and compare... Learn to play more with your west coast swing in the workshop before the Swing dance at Swing City on Friday. There will also be a swingable mix of Ballroom and Latin music at the dance.

Donations to help out local dancers Garth and Sheila who lost their home in a house fire will be accepted at Swing City for the rest of this month. They have a furnished house until the end of May but need a place to live (4 bedroom home that allows pets) for the next 4 to 6 months - let me know if you hear of something. If you know Sheila please text her encouraging notes at 250-507-3908 with your name added since she lost all contact info. For on line donations visit: http:// https://www.gofundme.com/house-fire-garth-and-sheila

More quotes from George Burns (before he turned 100):

You know you're getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you're down there.

I love to sing, and I love to drink scotch. Most people would rather hear me drink scotch.

I get up every morning and read the obituary column. If my name's not there, I eat breakfast.

When I was a boy the Dead Sea was only sick.

I don't worry about getting old. I'm old already. Only young people worry about getting old.

When you stop giving and offering something to the rest of the world, it's time to turn out the lights.

If you live to be one hundred, you've got it made. Very few people die past that age.
