Ron Smailes Ron is still in recovery in Vic General Hospital. He suffered 2 strokes over the past few weeks and is fine physically, but he is not his usual self yet. Please contact Elizabeth first if you wish to see Ron and send me an email if you wish to receive a copy of Elizabeth's update on how Ron is doing.

4) Formal New Year's Ball with the Commodores Big Band: Join John and Carla for a fun, formal New Year's Eve Ball at the Edelweiss Club on Sunday, December 31st from 8pm to 12:30am. There will be party favours, a full bar, light snacks and appetizers at 10:30pm, a wonderful big band and incredible break music by DJ Johnny deP. Well, it's the first of November. Time to buy next year's Halloween candy.

I am starting to think I will never be old enough to know better.

I may look like I’m having deep thoughts, but 99% of the time I’m thinking about what I’m going to eat later.

Morning: Tired.
Afternoon: Dying for a rest.
Night: Can’t Sleep.

I got called ‘Pretty’ today!
Well, actually, the full statement was ‘You’re pretty annoying”
But I only focus on positive things.

I have a condition that prevents me from going on a diet…
I get hungry.

Be the reason someone smiles today.
Or the reason they drink.
Whatever works.

I always knew I’d get old.
How fast it happened was a bit of a surprise, though.

Apparently you have to eat healthy more than once to get in shape.
This is cruel and unfair.
