Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair... ~Susan Polis Shutz

It will be a wild, fun, sunny, flowers in our hair, tacky tourist weekend of dance. On Friday Sam Jackson will teach West Coast Swing in the workshop at Swing City at 8pm followed by a Swing Dance with John. On Saturday John will teach Rumba Moves for Travellers & Tourists in the workshop at 7:15pm before the Hawaiian Night/Tacky Tourist Ballroom Dance at 8pm at the Edelweiss Club. Then on Sunday there are a host of outdoor dance events to choose from in the afternoon now that the sunshine is here to stay.

New Classes for September are listed on the Lessons page and are now open for registration.

The last Summer Dance Camp on the island takes place in July - talk to John soon for tickets: http://ballroomnanaimo.ca/events/dance-fest/

Do you want to take a dance cruise to the Caribbean in February? You could get the last cabin for our group. Email me at dancevictoria@telus.net for more information.

Time, timing and doing time:

Some things are better left unsaid, which I generally realize right after I have said them.

I don't know what's longer. A microwave minute, or a treadmill minute.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

This morning I was sitting on a bench next to a homeless man, I asked him how he ended up this way. He said: "Up until last week, I still had it all!!! A cook, my clothes were washed & pressed, I had a roof over my head, I had TV, internet, I went to the gym, the pool, the library, I could still go to school ..." I asked him, "What happened? Drugs? Alcohol? Divorce???" "Oh no, nothing like that" he said. "No, no ... I got out of prison."

I'm great at multitasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at once.

If time is money are ATM's time machines?

We are all time travellers moving at the speed of exactly 60 minutes per hour.
